Role Overview
The MYP Humanities Teacher will play a central role in developing students’ critical thinking, global awareness, and research skills. You will design creative and inquiry-based lessons that align with the IB MYP framework while fostering curiosity and collaboration. This position requires a passion for teaching, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to engage learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic Humanities lessons within the IB MYP framework
- Integrate inquiry-based learning strategies that promote critical thinking
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and interdisciplinary learning
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives
- Support student well-being and foster an inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally in an international school setting
- Familiarity with the IB MYP curriculum and inquiry-based learning approaches
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching
