JOB OVERVIEW
The MYP Individuals and Societies Teacher teaches subjects related to social sciences, including history, geography, economics, and cultural studies. This role involves guiding students in understanding social systems, human behavior, and global issues, fostering critical thinking and an appreciation for diverse perspectives. The IBDP Business & Management Component of this role involves guiding students through a thorough understanding of the theory and applications of the subject, nurturing students’ reflection and preparing them for the IBDP examinations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred).
2. Teaching Certificate with strong knowledge of MYP/DP curriculum.
3. At least three years of experience with IB programs, demonstrating a commitment to the IB mission and ISD’s Values.
4. The capacity to offer another subject is an asset
5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a multicultural, inclusive learning environment.
6. Passionate about Global Citizenship Education and Student Leadership.
