Role Overview: MYP Language & Literature Teacher
The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework. You will promote literacy, analytical thinking, and creative expression through literature and language-focused inquiry. The role includes developing assessments, guiding interdisciplinary projects, and participating in school initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging English Language & Literature lessons following IB MYP standards
- Foster critical reading, writing, and communication skills
- Guide students through inquiry-based units and reflective learning
- Use assessments to inform instruction and support individual progress
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects
- Engage with parents and staff to support student development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least two years of teaching experience in English or Language & Literature
- Familiarity with the IB MYP curriculum is highly preferred
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Commitment to professional growth and innovation in teaching
- Technologically proficient with experience integrating digital tools
