Role Overview: MYP Mathematics Teacher
As the MYP Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and rigorous instruction aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). You will work collaboratively with a team of educators to design interdisciplinary learning experiences that connect mathematics to real-world concepts and promote student curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach math lessons aligned with IB MYP standards and objectives
- Facilitate student understanding of mathematical concepts through inquiry and hands-on activities
- Develop assessments that track learning progress and support academic growth
- Integrate technology and real-life applications into daily instruction
- Collaborate with subject teachers to create interdisciplinary units
- Participate in school-wide events, curriculum planning, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and inquiry-based instruction
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working in a culturally diverse learning community
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Competent in integrating technology to enhance student learning
