Role Overview: MYP Mathematics Teacher
The MYP Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework. This role involves helping students build mathematical fluency, problem-solving skills, and real-world applications across multiple strands of mathematics. You will play an active role in shaping curriculum delivery and supporting cross-disciplinary learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach MYP Mathematics to middle school students using the IB MYP framework
- Design and implement units that foster inquiry, reasoning, and numeracy
- Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teaching teams on interdisciplinary learning projects
- Support students through school events, clubs, and co-curricular opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent)
- At least two years of experience teaching Mathematics, ideally within the IB or an international context
- Strong knowledge of the MYP Mathematics curriculum and assessment criteria
- Confident use of technology to enhance instruction and engagement
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional growth
