Role Overview: MYP Mathematics Teacher
As a Middle Years Programme (MYP) Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inquiry-based math lessons that help students build strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will inspire students to explore mathematical concepts while developing their confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics following the IB MYP framework and school curriculum
- Create lesson plans that promote active learning and critical thinking
- Support students in developing strong conceptual and applied math skills
- Monitor student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to support cross-disciplinary learning
- Participate actively in professional development and school initiatives
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, ideally with IB or international curricula
- Strong understanding of MYP or similar inquiry-based approaches
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and innovation in teaching
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficient in using digital tools to enhance instruction
