Role Overview
The MYP Mathematics Teacher will play a central role in helping students build strong problem-solving, analytical, and logical reasoning skills. You will design creative and inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework while fostering curiosity, confidence, and collaboration. This position requires subject expertise, innovative teaching strategies, and the ability to motivate and support learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons within the IB MYP framework
- Use inquiry-based strategies to promote critical thinking and problem-solving
- Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum design and interdisciplinary learning
- Support extracurricular activities such as math clubs, competitions, or school initiatives
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that values student well-being and diversity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, ideally in an international or IB school
- Familiarity with the IB MYP curriculum and inquiry-based learning approaches
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices
