Role Overview: MYP Mathematics Teacher (Grades 6–8)

As an MYP Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and meaningful lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). Your focus will include developing mathematical thinking, real-world problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning. Collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking will be central to your instructional approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach mathematics to students in Grades 6–8 following the IB MYP framework
• Develop lesson plans that promote inquiry, conceptual understanding, and cross-disciplinary learning
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
• Integrate educational technology to support and enhance teaching practices
• Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and school-wide projects
• Participate actively in school events, enrichment activities, and professional development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching middle school mathematics
• Familiarity with the IB MYP curriculum is highly preferred
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
• Passionate about international education and working with culturally diverse students
• Technologically adept and committed to ongoing professional growth
