Role Overview: MYP Science Teacher
As an MYP Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme. You will empower students to explore scientific ideas, think critically, and apply their understanding through practical experiments and real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach science lessons in line with IB MYP standards
- Create interactive, hands-on experiments that spark student curiosity
- Assess student performance through a variety of formative and summative methods
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with other MYP educators to ensure curricular alignment
- Contribute to extracurricular science activities and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual setting
- Experience with IB MYP curriculum is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Passion for inquiry-driven teaching and global education
- Comfortable using technology to support learning outcomes
