Role Overview: MYP Science Teacher
The MYP Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous science instruction aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The ideal candidate will create dynamic lessons that foster curiosity, hands-on experimentation, and interdisciplinary learning. You will help students build a solid foundation in scientific inquiry, research, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver science lessons aligned with MYP objectives and frameworks
- Encourage inquiry, experimentation, and reflective thinking
- Guide students through project-based and interdisciplinary learning
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
- Foster a classroom culture of collaboration, respect, and intellectual curiosity
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the school’s curriculum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent (PGCE, QTS, etc.)
- At least two years of teaching experience in science or MYP
- Familiarity with the IB MYP curriculum preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Passion for inquiry-driven teaching and international education
- Ability to integrate technology into science instruction
