Role Overview
As a Nursery & Foundation Homeroom Teacher, you will lead a classroom of young learners, creating an engaging and supportive space that promotes curiosity, creativity, and foundational skills. Your role involves planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, fostering emotional and social development, and working closely with families to ensure a smooth and positive early learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, play-based lessons aligned with early childhood learning goals
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Track and assess student development using formative and summative tools
- Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication and feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and innovation
- Participate in school events, professional development, and team planning meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Prior experience teaching early years or nursery level in an international or bilingual school
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous improvement
- Familiarity with educational technology tools to support learning
