Role: Nursery/Kindergarten Music Teacher
As a Music Teacher for Nursery and Kindergarten, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering developmentally appropriate music lessons that engage young learners through singing, movement, rhythm, and play
- Creating a vibrant and joyful classroom environment that encourages musical exploration and expression
- Introducing students to a variety of musical instruments, genres, and global traditions
- Collaborating with other early years educators to support interdisciplinary learning through music
- Preparing students for performances and events that showcase their musical growth
- Using observation and informal assessment to track progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
- Communicating regularly with parents to share updates and celebrate student achievements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Prior experience teaching music to young children in an early childhood or international school setting
- Strong musical skills, including proficiency in voice and/or instruments commonly used in early education
- Effective classroom management and excellent communication skills
- Deep understanding of early childhood development and how to foster creativity and confidence in young learners
- High level of English fluency, both spoken and written
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork
