Position: Nursery/Preschool Lead Teacher
As the Nursery/Preschool Lead Teacher, you will lead a class of young learners by designing and facilitating a developmentally appropriate and engaging learning environment. You will collaborate with a team of educators to support the intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and implement age-appropriate learning experiences rooted in Reggio-inspired practices
- Foster inquiry-based learning through exploration, play, and creative expression
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support student development
- Build strong relationships within the school community and contribute to a collaborative culture
- Utilize technology to enhance classroom experiences and documentation
- Reflect regularly on teaching practices and engage in continuous professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent early years certification (QTS, PGCE, etc.)
- Minimum one year of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting
- Deep understanding of early childhood development and the Reggio Emilia philosophy
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic about collaborative curriculum planning
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching
