Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in your subject area to Saturday School students, ensuring a high standard of learning and achievement.
  • Curriculum Development: Plan, develop, and implement curriculum and instructional materials that meet school standards and student needs for the Saturday School program.
  • Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support students in achieving their academic goals.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support and guidance to students, fostering their academic and personal growth.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents about student progress, addressing any concerns and fostering a strong home-school partnership.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and your subject area.
  • School Community: Engage in school activities, events, and extracurricular programs to support the wider school community and student development.

 

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area; a teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching at the primary or secondary school level.
  • Skills:
    • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching.
    • Excellent classroom management skills.
    • Ability to engage and motivate students.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.
