Role Overview: Female PE Teacher
As a PE Teacher at BIS, you will design and deliver a comprehensive physical education program that builds students’ physical fitness, coordination, sportsmanship, and leadership skills. You will encourage healthy lifestyles through engaging lessons and promote student participation in school sports activities and house competitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement physical education lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Promote fitness, teamwork, and fair play across all age groups
- Organize school sporting events and co-curricular athletics programs
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support growth
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment in all physical activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate wellness into broader school life
- Encourage girls’ participation in physical activity and sports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in PE or a similar role
- Familiarity with international or Cambridge-based curricula is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Passion for student development and holistic education
