This school is based in Geneva, Switzerland and is looking for a Summer Camp Activity Leader – Performing Arts: Modern and/or Jazz and/or Contemporary Danse.

Main Purpose of the Role: The Activity Leader specialized in Performing Arts will oversee students aged 8 to 18 from around the world. The role involves creating and leading Dance or Drama Activities in the afternoons and supervising other activities according to the established schedule during mornings or evenings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and monitor children aged 8 to 18.
  • Accompany and supervise children throughout the day, afternoon, and evening.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities and workshops.
  • Organize games, workshops, and shows.
  • Ensure the safety of children during all trips and activities.
  • Maintain children’s hygiene and safety standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety rules and respect the materials and areas of Collège du Léman.

 

Skills and Competencies:
  • Mandatory experience working with children and teens.
  • Experience in teaching or practicing various Dance or Drama activities.
  • Responsible and autonomous.
  • Ability to reassure children and parents.
  • Proficiency in English and French (knowledge of Russian, Japanese, Chinese, or Arabic is a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Motivated, dynamic, flexible, professional, organized, and creative.
  • Sports-oriented to participate in various sporting activities arranged for the children.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Availability to work on weekends.

 

Conditions:
  • The summer camp is planned over 3 sessions from June 30th to August 10th, 2024.
  • Session 1: June 30th to July 13th, 2024
  • Session 2: July 14th to July 27th, 2024
  • Session 3: July 28th to August 10th, 2024

 

Crucial Information: The post holder must be aware of Child Protection guidelines and maintain a professional distance from students while developing effective working and caring relationships. Understanding and embracing the importance of diversity and inclusion, and standing against discrimination in any form, is essential. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
