This school is based in Mansourieh El Metn, Lebanon and is looking for an Elementary Performing Arts Teacher. 

Eastwood International School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Elementary Performing Arts Teacher for the 2024/25 academic year. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students in the performing arts, fostering creativity and self-expression through music, drama, and dance. The role involves delivering a comprehensive performing arts curriculum and contributing to the school’s vibrant extracurricular program.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Implementation:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive performing arts curriculum that includes music, drama, and dance.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity and enthusiasm for the performing arts.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.


Student Assessment and Support:
  • Assess students’ progress through formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their artistic and personal growth.
  • Identify and address individual learning needs, offering additional support or enrichment as necessary.


Classroom Management:
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Encourage students to take risks and explore new ideas within the performing arts.


Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in performing arts education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and instructional strategies.
  • Continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices.


Parental and Community Engagement:
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students’ progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and extracurricular activities to build strong relationships with families and the school community.
  • Engage with the school community to promote a positive and collaborative learning environment.


Extracurricular Involvement:
  • Lead and participate in school performances, productions, and other extracurricular activities related to the performing arts.
  • Encourage and guide students in participating in school concerts, plays, and other performing arts events.
  • Foster a love for the performing arts through clubs and after-school programs.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Music, Drama, Dance, or a related field.
  • Teaching diploma or certification in performing arts education.
  • Proven experience teaching performing arts at the elementary level.
  • Strong understanding of performing arts pedagogy and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
