Role Overview: Physical Education Teacher
As a Physical Education Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ physical fitness, coordination, and sportsmanship. The role includes organizing school sports activities, coaching student teams, and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach PE classes to primary and/or secondary students
- Develop a curriculum that fosters fitness, teamwork, and personal growth
- Organize sporting events, school competitions, and physical activity programs
- Coach sports teams and lead extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with staff to integrate wellness into school-wide initiatives
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback
- Participate in school functions and community events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of PE teaching experience; international school experience preferred
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or similar
- Strong knowledge of fitness, sports instruction, and health education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Technologically proficient in using digital tools to enhance PE instruction
- Passionate about physical education and student development
