Role Overview: Physical Education Teacher
As the Physical Education Teacher, you will lead engaging and inclusive PE classes that promote fitness, teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong love for physical activity. You will support students in developing motor skills, coordination, resilience, and healthy habits while contributing to the school’s overall well-being culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach PE to students across grade levels with a focus on skill-building, sportsmanship, and physical literacy
- Design and implement age-appropriate fitness programs, games, and team sports
- Promote safe physical activity practices and inclusive participation
- Organize school-wide sporting events, competitions, and extracurricular clubs
- Assess students’ progress in physical development and provide timely feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate health and wellness across the curriculum
- Participate in school functions, professional development, and student support initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching PE in a primary or secondary school
- Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge or IB preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Passion for promoting health, wellness, and student well-being
- Tech-savvy and capable of using digital tools to enhance learning
