Machabeng College, International School of Lesotho, established in 1977, is committed to internationalism and interculturalism, reflected in its curriculum, particularly the IB Diploma Programme, and its co-curricular opportunities. The school uniquely offers the IB Diploma program in Lesotho as well as the IGCSE curriculum, supporting students in pursuing university education overseas for the country’s benefit. The Government of Lesotho, through the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS), sponsors students for the IBDP and has supported the school financially for many years. As a fully IBO accredited institution, Machabeng College serves nearly 500 day and boarding students from over 35 nationalities, aged 11 to 19+ years, supported by a dedicated team staff members. • Demonstrate an understanding of international mindedness, respect for diversity in culture, proficiency in their subject of specialization, adherence to the child protection international code, and showing understanding that learners are central to a learning institution.
• Have proven familiarity with current standards and indicators for schools accredited by CIS, NEASC, and AISA that offer both IGCSE and IB Diploma qualifications.
• Be critical thinkers who are proficient in the application of ICT as a teaching and learning tool, and have a high level of competence in child-centered teaching methods.
• Capacity to deliver 21st Century teaching skills
• Offer an extra-curriculum activity
• Flexibility in working as part of a dynamic team.
• Be willing to take on extra responsibilities when the need arises
• A combination with Geography or History will be an added advantage

Minimum Requirement:

• First Degree in the relevant subject (s)
• At least three years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in an international high school environment
