Role Overview: Physics Teacher
The Physics Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction in secondary-level physics, with opportunities to contribute to broader science curricula. This role requires a strong foundation in theoretical and applied physics, along with the ability to design engaging, hands-on lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach physics courses aligned with American and IB curriculum standards
- Plan and lead labs, experiments, and investigations that promote inquiry and problem-solving
- Encourage students to apply physics principles to real-world challenges
- Use a variety of assessment tools to monitor academic progress
- Collaborate with science colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching and lab instruction
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or international certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching physics at the middle or high school level
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency
- Familiarity with the IB framework or inquiry-based learning preferred
- Enthusiasm for working in an international and multicultural school community
- Proficiency in using digital tools to enhance teaching and learning
