Role Overview: Physics Teacher
The successful candidate will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including IGCSE and A-Level, while actively contributing to the broader science curriculum. You will deliver high-quality, inquiry-based lessons that challenge students to think critically and develop a deep understanding of physical sciences. Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community will be key to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach Physics lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum and examination boards
- Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom that encourages student participation and curiosity
- Assess student progress using varied methods and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Support students in science-related extracurricular activities and enrichment programs
- Collaborate with science department colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence and innovation
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to build strong relationships
- Stay current with developments in science education and implement best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or a related discipline
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Physics at the secondary level
- Deep understanding of the subject and experience with international or British curricula
- Excellent classroom management and strong communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and the use of technology to enhance learning
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to contribute to school-wide initiatives
