This school is based in Amman, Jordan and is looking for a Physics Teacher.

Overview:

Al Ra’ed Al Arabi School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our team of educators. The Physics Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive physics instruction to students, fostering their understanding of fundamental concepts and principles in the field of physics.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a rigorous and inquiry-based physics curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational objectives and standards, catering to the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality physics lessons using a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
  • Teach students fundamental physics concepts, theories, and laws, covering topics such as mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics.
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical concepts and promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Utilize educational technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience and facilitate student understanding of complex physics phenomena.
  • Assess student learning and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve academic success.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore, question, and discover the wonders of physics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders to support student learning and development, participate in school events and activities, and contribute to the overall success of the school community.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification or qualification in Physics Education.
  • Previous experience teaching physics at the secondary level. International Baccalaureate (IB) experience is a plus.
  • Strong content knowledge and expertise in physics concepts, theories, and applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for physics education and a commitment to inspiring students to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
