This school is based in Muscat, Oman and is looking for a Senior School Physics Teacher.

Position Overview:
Al Injaz Private School is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior School Physics Teacher to teach students in Grades 6–12. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in physics, experience with the Cambridge curriculum, and a passion for fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge students to excel in physics through innovative teaching methods and real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:
  • Design and deliver engaging physics lessons for senior school students (Grades 6–12) following the Cambridge curriculum.
  • Develop hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and projects to illustrate complex physics concepts.
  • Incorporate technology and modern tools to enhance learning experiences.

 

Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Create and administer formative and summative assessments to track student progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, fostering their academic and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of student performance and achievements.

 

Student Engagement and Support:
  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for physics among students.
  • Support diverse learning styles and needs through differentiated instruction.
  • Mentor students participating in science fairs, competitions, or advanced studies in physics.

 

Collaboration and Professional Development:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the physics curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest trends in physics education.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and extracurricular activities.

 

Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Background:
  • Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Physics, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

 

Professional Experience:
  • 5–8 years of teaching experience in senior school physics, preferably within the Cambridge curriculum framework.

 

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of advanced physics concepts and principles.
  • Proficient in laboratory safety and conducting physics experiments.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Competence in integrating technology into physics instruction
