Founded by Daniel and Karen Pritzker, the academy offers full scholarships covering all educational and living costs. JPA follows a rigorous international curriculum designed to meticulously prepare graduates for successful university admission both domestically and internationally. Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the crucial role of Preschool Teacher (teaching children typically aged 3-5). This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences across all early years domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, stimulating, play-based learning experiences aligned with international ECE standards and JPA’s educational philosophy.
• Develop and execute strategies that promote early literacy readiness, numeracy concepts, and strong communication skills.
• Assess student performance and development consistently using formative and observational methods. Provide constructive, detailed progress reports to parents/guardians and primary leadership.
• Maintain a safe, highly organized, and stimulating indoor and outdoor classroom environment conducive to active exploration and child-centered learning.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, primary colleagues, and leadership to ensure curriculum consistency and support student welfare.
• Implement effective classroom management and motivational techniques suitable for the preschool age group.
• Actively participate in professional development sessions and proactively contribute to curriculum enrichment and school initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/community members, communicating clearly about curriculum goals and student success.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a closely related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for Early Years or Primary teaching.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Preschool or Early Years Teacher, ideally within an international school or a rigorous ECE setting.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of best practices in early childhood education and international early years curriculum standards (e.g., EYFS, IB PYP, Reggio Emilia principles).
• Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Proactive Approach: Be independent, self-motivated, and willing to proactively enrich the curriculum and contribute to school life.
