Dresden International School (DIS) is a comprehensive school offering an all-day programme. We offer an outstanding and continuous education from Preschool to Grade 12. The language of instruction and colloquial language is English. DIS aims to provide children and teens from throughout the world with an international education based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme and philosophy. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will work with children aged 1-5 as part of the Preschool Team.
- Develop age-appropriate, child-centered, and theme-based activities based on our Primary Years Program (PYP)
- Seeking developmental opportunities that foster children’s love of learning, curiosity.
- Encourage creativity and independence.
- Providing a stimulating and engaging environment for our children.
- Communicating with parents and colleagues regarding the children entrusted to your care.
- Evaluating development and learning to identify children’s progress and plan their next steps
Your Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of child development and modern educational methods.
- Experience with playful, inquiry-based teaching/learning.
- Cooperative planning/teaching/assessing.
- Enthusiasm and personal commitment to your work.
- Strong communication and time management skills
- International and growth-oriented thinking.
- International experience is an advantage.
- Experience with technological tools in the education sector or willingness to become familiar with the use of technology in education.
Your Qualifications:
- Completed training as a certified educator (Erzieher*in) or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in subjects such as childcare, early childhood education, social work, or social pedagogy.
- All qualifications need to have Saxon recognition.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
