Established in 2011, ESM is a private, co-educational IB World School located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The school offers a British-style, English-language education incorporating the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) and Diploma Program (DP), as well as IGCSEs. Role Overview
The Primary Class Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners. This role involves fostering a positive classroom culture, promoting inquiry-based learning, and supporting students in their social and emotional development. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues across subject areas to enhance interdisciplinary learning and contribute to the school’s vibrant community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the IB PYP framework
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Use innovative teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance learning
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, ideally in an international school
- Strong knowledge of primary education and international curricula
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Enthusiasm for professional growth and collaborative teaching
