Role: Primary Computing Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, hands-on Computing lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England.
• Equip students with essential coding, programming, and problem-solving skills using Scratch, Python, robotics, and digital tools.
• Foster a creativity-driven, interactive learning environment that enhances collaboration and computational thinking.
• Teach students online safety, cybersecurity, and digital citizenship, ensuring responsible technology use.
• Integrate project-based learning and cross-curricular digital strategies to enhance student engagement.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to embed digital learning across subjects and support professional development.
• Engage with parents and the wider school community to highlight the importance of technology in education.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Computing/ICT or a BA/BSc with PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least one year of teaching experience in Computing within the National Curriculum for England.
• Strong understanding of coding languages (e.g., Python, Scratch), robotics, and digital literacy.
• A commitment to raising academic standards and preparing students for future technological advancements.
• Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A passion for educational innovation, embracing research-led pedagogy and modern teaching strategies.
