Role Overview: Primary English Teacher
As a Primary English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inquiry-based English language lessons aligned with international learning standards. You will create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where young learners build strong foundational skills in literacy, communication, and critical thinking. This role requires enthusiasm for primary education, a global perspective, and the ability to connect with children from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to primary students
- Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes inquiry, respect, and a love for learning
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan cross-curricular and bilingual learning experiences
- Monitor and assess student progress, and provide timely feedback to students and parents
- Integrate digital learning tools to enhance teaching and engagement
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or bilingual school
- Familiarity with international primary curricula (e.g., IB PYP, UK, or US frameworks)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in English (native or near-native fluency)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative teaching team
- Passion for teaching young learners and promoting global citizenship
