Role Overview: Primary English Teacher
As a Primary English Teacher, you will teach English language and literacy to students in the lower or upper primary levels. You will play a key role in developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while fostering a love for literature and effective communication. You will collaborate with colleagues to deliver an engaging, integrated curriculum aligned with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to primary students using engaging and student-centered strategies
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of young learners
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with the primary teaching team on cross-curricular initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student growth
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular programmes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least two years of primary teaching experience, ideally in an international or Cambridge curriculum setting
- Strong knowledge of English literacy development in young learners
- Proficiency in classroom management and technology integration
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Passionate about working with children from diverse backgrounds
