Role Overview
As a Primary English Teacher at YMCA Christian Academy, you will design and deliver engaging English lessons that support literacy, communication, and creative expression. You will nurture curiosity, encourage independent thinking, and help students build confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This role also provides opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and to contribute to the school’s vibrant Christian learning community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach dynamic English lessons aligned with international curriculum standards.
- Support student literacy development through creative and interactive approaches.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Integrate project-based and experiential learning into the classroom.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and service-learning projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Familiarity with international curricula and inquiry-based approaches.
- Strong knowledge of English literacy and language development.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and reflective teaching practice.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, Christian international school community.
