Role Overview: Primary Homeroom Teacher
As a Primary Homeroom Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering core subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Social Studies, while fostering a caring and stimulating classroom environment. You will work closely with students and parents to support academic growth, emotional well-being, and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Create a supportive classroom culture that encourages risk-taking and curiosity
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt instruction based on learning needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about student performance
- Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum planning and school events
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best teaching practices
- Lead and support extracurricular activities as part of the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience
- Experience with international curricula (e.g., IPC, IB PYP, or similar)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Technologically proficient and able to integrate digital tools into teaching
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to contribute to a collaborative learning environment
