Role Overview

The Primary Homeroom Teacher will guide students in the IB PYP framework, delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. The teacher will help students build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and inquiry-based learning while also nurturing social and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and collaboration
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth
• Foster independence, resilience, and problem-solving skills in students
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
• Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences
• Contribute to extracurricular programs and whole-school initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in primary or elementary education
• Strong understanding of the International Baccalaureate PYP or similar curricula
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international school community
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Commitment to professional growth and innovation in education
