Role Overview

The Primary Homeroom Teacher will guide students in core subjects while fostering social-emotional growth, inquiry-based learning, and collaboration. This role is central to creating a positive classroom culture and preparing students with the skills they need to succeed in an interconnected world.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including English Language Learners
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities
• Communicate effectively with parents to build strong home-school partnerships
• Contribute to school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and community initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an international school setting
• Familiarity with IB PYP and international curricula
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, multicultural school community
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning effectively
