Role Overview
The Primary Homeroom Teacher will guide and support young learners in their academic, social, and emotional development. This role requires an educator who can create a positive classroom environment, deliver engaging lessons, and foster curiosity in children. The teacher will also play an important role in developing students’ literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills, aligned with the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across core subjects
- Provide individual support to students to encourage personal growth
- Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with parents and colleagues
- Integrate technology into daily teaching to enhance learning outcomes
- Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking in students
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in primary education
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum or other international frameworks
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to professional growth
- Ability to build positive relationships within a multicultural school community
