Role: Primary Humanities Teacher
As a Primary Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, and Social Studies. Your role will encourage curiosity about the world, cultural understanding, and active citizenship, aligned with the Cambridge International Primary curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality humanities lessons for primary-level students
- Foster critical thinking, inquiry, and cross-cultural understanding
- Support diverse learning styles through differentiated instruction
- Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain curriculum consistency and best practices
- Build strong relationships with parents and the wider school community
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Participate actively in school events, clubs, and development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching at the primary level
- Familiarity with the British or international humanities curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Proactive, reflective, and eager to contribute to school-wide progress
