Role Overview: Primary Humanities Teacher
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and age-appropriate Humanities lessons to primary students, encouraging them to explore the world through history, geography, culture, and current events. You will build students’ research, analytical, and communication skills by designing interactive lessons that connect classroom content to real-world contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Humanities subjects such as history, geography, and civics to primary-level students
- Develop and deliver engaging, cross-curricular lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
- Encourage critical thinking, inquiry, and discussion in the classroom
- Use assessments to guide instruction and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and enrichment programs
- Communicate effectively with parents to support student learning
- Integrate educational technology to enhance lesson delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and humanities content
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High fluency in written and spoken English
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to professional development
