Role Overview: Primary Information Technology Teacher
As the Primary IT Teacher, you will introduce students to the foundational principles of computer science and digital literacy. Your lessons will empower young learners to think creatively, solve problems logically, and use technology responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate IT lessons to primary students
- Teach basic programming, digital citizenship, and media literacy
- Integrate technology into classroom instruction and school-wide learning
- Encourage inquiry, collaboration, and innovation through project-based learning
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to enrich the curriculum
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate actively in school events, clubs, and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Strong command of coding tools, learning platforms, and edtech resources
- Experience with international curricula preferred (British or IB PYP)
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
