About the Role
The Primary Learning Support Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and teachers to create and implement individualised learning strategies. The successful candidate will:
- Support students with diverse learning needs in the primary years.
- Design tailored intervention plans to address academic and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and provide inclusive learning strategies.
- Monitor student progress using data-driven assessment tools.
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that empowers students to build confidence and independence.
- Participate actively in professional development and whole-school initiatives related to student support.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with primary-aged children in learning support or SEN (Special Educational Needs).
- Strong understanding of inclusion practices and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for working in an international school setting.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
