Role Overview: Primary Mathematics Teacher
The successful candidate will teach mathematics to students in Key Stages 1 and 2, using a student-centered approach to build foundational numeracy and problem-solving skills. You will design lessons that promote curiosity, encourage logical reasoning, and develop students’ confidence in mathematical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
- Use assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction
- Create a classroom environment that supports inquiry, collaboration, and differentiation
- Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to support student learning
- Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance mathematical understanding
- Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field
- Teaching certification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and Cambridge Primary Mathematics framework
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to professional growth
