Role Overview: Primary Music Teacher
The successful candidate will deliver dynamic music instruction to primary students, introducing them to instruments, rhythm, composition, and performance. You will play a key role in fostering creativity, confidence, and collaboration through music education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that align with the British curriculum
- Introduce students to various instruments, musical styles, and traditions
- Lead choir and instrumental groups and prepare students for performances
- Promote music appreciation and encourage self-expression through sound
- Use educational technology to enhance student engagement and learning
- Collaborate with staff to support whole-school events and initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music, Education, or a related field
- Recognised teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of classroom experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of primary music pedagogy
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficient in English and comfortable working in a multicultural setting
