Role Overview: Primary Physical Education Teacher
As a Primary PE Teacher, you will design and deliver dynamic physical education lessons that inspire students to stay active, healthy, and confident. You will promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical literacy while supporting extracurricular programs and school-wide sports initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach physical education to primary students (ages 5–11)
- Plan age-appropriate activities that promote motor skills, fitness, and teamwork
- Organize school sporting events, inter-school competitions, and sports days
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Monitor student development and maintain accurate progress records
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and co-curricular programs
- Encourage students to adopt lifelong healthy habits and positive attitudes toward physical activity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related discipline
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of PE teaching experience
- Experience with international or bilingual curricula preferred
- Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural school setting
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to continuous professional development
- Ability to integrate educational technology into PE instruction
