Role Overview: Primary School Art Teacher
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging art lessons for students in the primary grades. Lessons should stimulate creativity and self-expression while building skills in visual arts, design, and creative thinking. You will work collaboratively with homeroom and specialist teachers to integrate art into the broader PYP curriculum and foster cross-disciplinary learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related discipline
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar teaching role, ideally in an international or IB PYP setting
- Strong knowledge of art education principles for primary learners
- Proficient in classroom management and parent communication
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Able to use digital tools to enhance teaching and student portfolios
- Enthusiastic about collaboration and continuous professional development
- Committed to enriching the school’s curriculum and community initiatives
