Role Overview: Primary Science Teacher
As a Primary Science Teacher, you will inspire young learners to explore the natural world and develop critical thinking and inquiry skills. You will design and deliver hands-on lessons that engage students in scientific investigation while aligning with international standards, particularly the Cambridge Primary Science framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach science to primary students using interactive, inquiry-based methods
- Plan lessons that build scientific knowledge, observation, and experimentation skills
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress
- Foster curiosity and enthusiasm for science through experiments and real-world connections
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver cross-curricular learning experiences
- Maintain regular communication with parents about student development
- Contribute to science fairs, clubs, and school-wide events that promote STEM education
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of experience teaching science at the primary level
- Strong understanding of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum or other international frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Passionate about inquiry-based learning and student engagement
- Comfortable integrating technology into science instruction
