Role Overview: Primary Science Teacher
As a Primary Science Teacher, you will teach engaging, hands-on science lessons to students aged 5–11. You will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry through well-structured lesson plans and interactive learning experiences. You will also collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and contribute to the school’s wider academic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate science lessons for primary students
- Promote inquiry-based learning and hands-on experimentation
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment
- Participate in school-wide events, trips, and enrichment activities
- Work closely with colleagues to support curriculum development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school
- Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge Primary or IB PYP
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Strong English language proficiency
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning
- Ability to use educational technology to enhance science instruction
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
