Role Overview
The Primary/Secondary English Teacher will play a vital role in developing students’ language proficiency, analytical skills, and appreciation for literature. The position involves teaching across different year levels, encouraging creativity, and equipping students with the communication skills necessary for academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Teach across primary and secondary grade levels, adapting methods to suit student needs
- Guide students in preparing for IGCSE and A Level English examinations
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning in the classroom
- Incorporate technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and extracurricular activities
- Provide constructive feedback to support student progress
- Maintain strong communication with parents and the school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in English at primary or secondary levels
- Familiarity with international curricula, preferably Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Commitment to professional growth, innovation, and teamwork
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
