Elementary School German Teacher

This school is based in Vienna, Austria and is looking for Elementary School German Teacher.

Job Goal:

• Planning and preparation of lessons for grades 1-5 for German Native and Non Native German speaking students in all language levels.

• Assumes responsibilities/duties within the elementary school faculty (faculty meetings, hall duties, open house, parent-teacher-conferences, extracurricular activities etc.)

Education and Experience:

• Teacher’s certificate (DaF/DaZ- German as a Foreign Language and/or German as a Second) Language with experience in working with elementary school students

• Experience in working with children from multicultural backgrounds

• High level of German proficiency required

• Strong oral and written communication skills in German and in English

• Ability to collaborate on the planning and development of the curriculum with the German Language department

Reports to:

The lead supervisor is the elementary school principal, however, this teacher will work and be responsible to the German department teachers on a daily basis.

Performance Evaluation:

The elementary school principal evaluates the overall performance of the teacher.
