Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PYP Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at our school. The PYP Coordinator will serve as the main liaison between the school and the International Baccalaureate (IB), ensuring compliance with IB standards and facilitating the transition to the PYP curriculum. This role requires a deep understanding of IB principles, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to promoting the IB ethos throughout the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as the primary liaison between the school and the IB, ensuring compliance with IB standards and requirements.
2. Familiarize staff with all aspects of IB and PYP documents, providing support and resources as needed.
3. Lead the development and implementation of the school’s PYP curriculum, supporting teachers in their understanding and application of PYP methodology.
4. Ensure that all Units of Inquiry and Programmes of Inquiry are accessible to the wider school community, promoting understanding of the school’s PYP.
5. Promote the ethos of the IB and the Learner Profile throughout the school community.
6. Complete all necessary administrative responsibilities related to the ongoing implementation of the PYP, including documentation for authorization.
7. Foster relationships with other PYP schools within and outside the region to share best practices and resources.
8. Perform other duties as required by the Director.

Terms of Employment: The successful candidate will be appointed through a permanent contract after an initial six-month trial period, in accordance with local labor agreements and national Spanish law. ASB offers a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience.

Performance Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated by the Director in accordance with the provisions set in the Board’s Policy Manual and implementing regulations.
