This school is based in Istanbul, Turkey and is looking for Learning Support Assistants.

The British International School Istanbul (BISI) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teachers to join our vibrant academic team. We are looking for educators who are passionate about inspiring young learners and committed to delivering high-quality education in an international setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Delivery:
    • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the British National Curriculum.
    • Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Student Development:
    • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents and senior staff.
    • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
    • Address any behavioral issues promptly and professionally.
  • Professional Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
    • Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Parental Engagement:
    • Communicate regularly with parents to discuss their child’s progress and address any concerns.
    • Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in a primary school setting, preferably within the British National Curriculum.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written & spoken).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance learning.
  • Open-minded, culturally aware, and adaptable.


  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
