This school is based in Dubai, UAE and is looking for a Primary School Class Teacher (Year 6).

Position Overview: The Arbor School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Class Teacher for Year 6 to join our dynamic educational team. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering an engaging and supportive learning experience aligned with our sustainability-focused curriculum. You will inspire and guide students through their final year of primary education, preparing them for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement creative and differentiated lesson plans that adhere to Arbor School’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration among students.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning outcomes and student engagement.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students, addressing individual learning needs through personalized instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings to coordinate curriculum delivery and student support initiatives.
  • Integrate Arbor School’s values of sustainability, environmental awareness, and social responsibility into daily classroom activities and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance in accordance with school policies.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians to update them on student progress, achievements, and areas for growth.
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities, school events, and extracurricular activities to enrich the school community.


Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification/license is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting, preferably within the IB or similar curriculum framework.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional practices for upper primary students.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to support teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement in teaching practices.
